Access Sport
Access Sport is all about breaking barriers — making sure every young person, no matter their background or ability, has the chance to feel the power of sport.
Through my lens, I captured moments of pure energy: the rush of wheels on tarmac, the joy of first-time riders, the laughter of teammates discovering strength in one another. What struck me most was not just the movement, but the confidence that grew with every game, every race, every cheer from the sidelines.
These photographs are more than documentation — they’re a celebration of inclusion, resilience, and the simple joy of play. A reminder that sport has the power to connect, to empower, and to change lives.
Why I Photograph Access Sport
For me, photography has always been about more than just the image — it’s about connection, community, and telling stories that might otherwise go unseen.
Photographing Access Sport events is special because they capture the heart of what I believe in: joy, inclusion, and the power of people coming together. Behind every frame is a moment of growth — a child discovering their strength, a young person feeling part of a team, a smile that says “I belong here.”
As a photographer, I feel a responsibility to document these moments with honesty and care. Sport is universal, but access isn’t always equal — and showing the beauty of these events is a way of celebrating the progress being made, while reminding us all why it matters.
